THANK YOU TO THE COA MEMBERS FOR A GREAT BANQUET!!!
Monday night we had our 11th annual awards and recognition banquet. The social hour began at 6:00pm and the members had a chance to laugh and tell funny stories about the past season games. The stories get better with age. We had 70 + members at this year’s dinner.
Our guest speaker was Ronald Nored, former Butler basketball player and new Head Basketball coach at Brownsburg High School. He told some great stories about his high school experiences as well as his successful years at Butler, including the two runs in the NCAA tournament. He talked about his relationships and how important they are to you through life.
Theresia Wynns from the IHSAA was also at the dinner and she had some very nice comments about COA and some of our current members. We all wish her much success at her new job with NFHS starting this summer.
The two scholarship awards winners were:
Tyler Childress – Triton Central High School
AND
Samara Wild – Carmel High School
The Sportsmanship Award was given to Triton Central High School.
Our new President-Elect is Jack Combs. He will be the VP for the next year and then take over as President in 2014.

May 6, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Valle Vista Golf & Conference Center in Greenwood, Indiana.

Soccer Referees:
The second COA soccer meeting of March was held on Monday. March 19th.
Our speaker was Timothy Geis a Referee Inspector for USSoccer and Director of Assessment for Indiana gave us a program on "Professionalism" and it was on the pre-game, game and post game. Plus he showed us some video clip from MSL games. If you did not get to the meeting please drop me an email if you would like to get a copy of the program.
We had 58 referees at the meeting and a smaller group for a post meeting get together.

Dear Soccer Referees:
Crossroads Officials Association had a special meeting on Thursday, March 1st at Lawrence North High School with Chad Gabbard MSEd, LAT, ATC, PES from St. Vincent Sports Performance and Head Athletic Trainer for Marian University was our guest speaker. He talked about stretching, how to deal with injuries, off season training and other health issues. This was a good informational meeting for the members to learn ways to help them get ready for the soccer season.

Dear Soccer Referees:
Crossroads Officials Assoc.(IHSAA Group)is have a special meeting on Thursday, March 1st at Lawrence North High School at 7 PM. This meeting is open to all soccer referees, so please feel free to join us.
This meeting we will have Chad Gabbard MSEd, LAT, ATC, PES from St. Vincent Sports Performance and Head Athletic Trainer for Marian University will be our guest speaker. He will be talking about stretching, injuries, off season training and other health issues.
This will be a outstanding meeting for you to learn way to help you get ready for the soccer season. We will continue to help you find ways to stay on the soccer field without pain.
